I did it!

So, I finally hung up my pictures on my wall in my room. Yippee for feeling more homey!! ( I realize they all look crooked ha ha ha, it's the angle I was taking the picture! Standing on my bed. Midget me...;))

Also, what do you think? Mandy and Heather kept telling me over and over I needed to cut my bangs, so I did it last night....too short!?!? What do you think....?

I hope everyone is doing just dandy.....crazy weekend as it has been.

I have 4 guests coming for dinner tonight, an essay due on Monday which is a comparative essay that I haven't actually read the books. Eep much? I have 2.5 hours to get this house cleaned up, start dinner, and HOPEFULLY read SOMETHING. Sigh.

Lap Top!

Dear Friends,

Ever since I got my lap top I don't feel like blogging! Its like, I can check my email and facebook and people's blogs etc... as much as I want, so therefore I do it often, but never take the actual time to sit down and do anything on here. Its a very strange situation that has arisen, I tell ya!!! I've heard a few complaints about my lack of blogging, and therefore I thought I'd update everyone on the current Ruth situation!!

One week...

So much happening!!

So I moved in officially Thursday night. Thanks Dad, Mom, Heather, Andrea and Mandy!! Everyone helped so much, I couldn't have done it without your help. I was feeling so sick, but so was every other person, so everyone just stuck together and got 'er done!

Me and Mandy spent Saturday going to a few places like Wal-Mart, Ikea, and Dollarama to get some stuff for the house. We got some shelves for the laundry room and one from Ikea for the living area lol. The house is defiantly coming together. Its nice because I'm trying to make it MY house to. Not just me living in some one's house. I think it's good, none of Mandy's other roommates really put their stamp onto the place. It's been fun :) I need curtains bad, so hopefully I can get some this week. Its so bright, I'm used to my nice dark basement lol. Other than that, things are going well.

Today is my first afternoon back at NAIT. I'm writing on here, because I don't have my work yet! I have no idea what to do and mi madre is busy in a different office for an hour or so, so I have lots of time... ha ha ha. Oh to be paid to blog. The joys!

I am hoping to get a lap top this week, I will need it to do work for NAIT from home also, so I will be able to put up some pictures then of my new place, for all of you that won't be seeing it anytime soon.

Bad Social Networking

Sometimes I wish I didn't have a lot of connections to the outside world. Right about now would be one of those times. Here I thought I was "one of the lucky few" who weren't sick. Guess not! I am feeling so grummy, and now I get to go home - to my home (soon to be referred to as my parents home :)) to a house full of sickies, or, if I was moved out, go to "my" home with a sickie roommate.

Everyone at school is dropping down like flies....it's not a pretty picture. Not a pretty picture indeed. So, if you are one of the many, GET WELL SOON! If you are one of the lucky few who are still in good health, GOOD LUCK!

It's a YAY day!

No more old phone!

Yay to my new phone!!! I just got it. Isn't it pretty. Sigh. This is my second cellular device EVER! I feel like a kid in a candy shop! Ooo la la! I will admit, this full keyboard thing is throwing me off completely LOL.

So I feel as though since I wrote out in bullet points all my stress-ors, I should write a rebuttal to tell all about my yay day!

So firstly, I wrote an exam today, which I honestly don't think I did very well, but that doesn't take away from my yay day. I shall start my list now:

• First, I got a new phone and new plan which I think suits my life just swell! Yay!
• Second, I got my Alexander Rutherford cheque of a grand total of $2100.00 in the mail today. Oh, I just heart scholarship money! Yay!
• Third, I got told I am being hired very casual, which is what I wanted! (official start date still being decided)! Yay!
• Fourth, I called my school to check that I will in fact NOT have to pay any money for second semester besides books, and that my loan will cover my tuition, and they said yes! Yay!
• Fifth, I am moving out!!! YAY! This week/weekend!!!! YAY YAY YAY!
• And sixth, I dunno, just YAY! YAY YAY YAY!
  

I feel blessed today. Man, what a turn around from my previous blog.

Oh the Joy...

This is me super excited to study/ cram for my two midterms that are on Monday and Tuesday. Oh Sociology and Religion, how I love thee....

Drinking my tea is something that I've learned to love and look forward to. It is how I stay awake when studying for exams, oh caffeine. Yippee! (p.s: This is my Arkansas mug, which I bought in a quaint adorable shop one sunny afternoon...)

This is me saying "Cheers" to all. Hope you have a fantastic Sunday afternoon while I study study study! (Maybe I'll get a nap in there?)
