Ruth's Song

Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen,

So I was pondering today about how I really dislike the fact that there are no songs with the name "Ruth" in it! It's such a silly thing, but I get SO excited whenever I see my name on things like cups and tee-shirts (thanks again to Big Ruth in Arkansas for my RuthieStewart tee!). When I was in Ontario last year for my cousins funeral my old best friend Amanda brought me to this sign so I could take a picture:

It was so exciting! I just remembered this picture today because my friend Jaimie and I were trying to come up with lyrics that could involve my name.... and there is just nothing lovely that rhymes with Ruth. We tried to come up with words that rhymed with nicknames of mine. Here are some samples we came up with:

• Ruth the girl who lives in a booth, and has a tooth that looks like a moose (I don't think these things rhyme, but nevertheless...)
• Ruthella, she is so stella
• Rutta you can do no betta
• Rutilia (Roo-till-ee-ah) you don't want her to mess with ya
• Rufus is no doofus

So here, I put this out to all of you, if you hear a song with my name in it PLEASE tell me...OR if you can write me one and serenade me I'd appreciate it greatly. Thankyouverymuchly!

Valentine's Day

Friends and Family,

WOW, I am in SHOCK...I am sooooo spoiled!!!!!! Look at what the boy did for me:




Mike got his sister to be Cupid since he is away at camp, and she picked up this basket for me. I guess she called Mandy and got directions to our apartment, and then Mandy let someone into the apartment. And I asked who it was, and she said she didn't know the person mumbled. So for the whole 5 minutes it took his sister to get to the door I was going on and on to Mandy about how could she just let some random into the apartment building and laughing about it. Then Mandy 'couldn't' answer the door, and told me to when there was a knock. I am doing arts and crafts (a little present) for Mike, and I had stuff all over my lap so Andrea jumped up to get the door, and I ran after her, and there stood Jessica with this gigantic basket of flowers.....sigh.

Oh, Mike....how I love him...

Hello friends and family,

I'm sure many of you have seen the following picture via facebook, but I still couldn't resist posting it up on here! So my darling Michael got me these flowers!! Roses and Orchids (my favorite!). It was so sweet! They decided to get sad and droopy since he left on Thursday, maybe they feed off of my mood? LOL. Anyways, enjoy the picture! I'll enjoy their last few moments of life tonight!


Next picture: So I bought my very first desk! Woot! So proud...tear. Good 'ol IKEA! :D Annnyways, Mike set it up for me after church on Sunday, while I was at a birthday party, and as he got me from the birthday party, and we were driving to my place, he said that it was missing two screws, and may be a bit wobbly but he thinks it will be okay. Of course I believed him! Then he said that he didn't put anything on the desk or anything and that I could do it when I got home. I was just grateful to have it put together and I didn't have to do anything!! Soooo when I got home, this is what I walked into my room to find:

He set it all up for me! Not going to lie, I was a little shocked he could set up all the wires for the computer and printer, which, I think might have hurt his man-ego, but hey! I wouldn't be able to operate a crane, right? That's my logic and I'm sticking to it!!!

What HAPPENED!

Ladies and gentlemen,

Rest assured, I am alive and well, the good 'ol Earth Science teacher has not gotten to me yet!

We sat down with the Dean of Student Affairs, and he most defiantly agreed with everything we said; that how she spoke to Renee was inappropriate and not professional, and that she had no right to take the lab manual away...

All in all, he is going to discuss the matter with the Dean of Academics, and discuss that if she (teacher) doesn't want people having lab manuals she needs to take them away at the end of each semester... and that we should ask for it back.

So, we did today. Well Renee did, since it was hers, but I stood there as back-up just in case! The teacher wasn't going to give it to us... but she did in the end, and said that Renee needed to keep it at home!

So, we are still going to talk to the Dean, and get him to still do something about the way she spoke to Renee.

He did say that if she continues treating us like that, we should file harassment, although he hopes (so do WE!) that it doesn't come to that...

All in all, I feel much better about the situation. I just need to work my butt off in this class!! I really want at least a B! So, we will see!

Down to YOU Earth Sciences

Good Afternoon my darling friends and family,

So, for those of you who do not know, I have had a little run in with a certain teacher, in the subject mentioned above.

Regardless of this run in I am currently still in this class. It is pretty awful when a professors says that as soon as you walked into her class she knew you'd fail. I'll just have to prove her wrong I suppose....

Me and my friend have a meeting with a Dean tomorrow, so fingers crossed for that!

My dad said that worse comes to worse, he'll put a huge cross around his neck, and Adam and Mike can be his back up and they will go confront her for me.

I love my family!!!

Anyways, there is the latest. If all else fails (which I hope isn't the luck for me and my transcript!) I shall just drop the class.

We'll see how it all plays out!
