What is Monday in Spanish?

Well, dearest readers, it's 5:29 p.m., Monday, September 14th. Do you know where your children are? Sadly, my parents do. I am at school. Still. Oh yes, I am one of the lucky few who get to stay in their glorious schools for a night class! Yippee! Every Monday and Wednesday, this is my fate. All year. Not just one semester, but two. Oh goodie! I know you are all envious of me. And you'll be even more envious when it's -30 outside and it's 9:30 at night, and I have to wait until 10 to catch a bus, only for it to take over an hour to get home.

I am excited.

On a less cynical note, Christine actually came to school today and we sat on the grass in our nice, +25 weather today. It was really needed. She got here at 2:30 and just left at 5:15. It was nice to have a distraction from my 4.5 hour wait until class!!

It's funny. You get moments in life where you get to talk to people and they may not even realize it but the course of your conversation really make you think about your life and just about yourself. Christine seems to have a way of doing that to me. It's like, every time we are together, afterwards, I just want to be a better person! She was really encouraging towards me and my Spanish class. Even offered/ was super willing to go over notes with me and help me study. It meant a lot!

Here is the low down on the espanol situation. I took Spanish to the highest level in high school. So when I went to sign up for the 'lower' level in University they said no that I had to take the advanced class. However, I've been outside of high school now for 2 years, and have NOT spoken/seen/ be remotely aware of any Spanish since I last wrote that exam back in that dirty old gym in 2007. So, as you might all have guessed, I don't remember a thing. Not even a little bit. I remember Hello = Hola. Seriously. did my homework, and got an "F" on the online thing. So I'm freaking out a bit because A) I can't drop it, I've passed the point to drop and pick up a new class B) It's an all year course, so I'd be down 6 credits and C) (which is the most important) my loan is based on a full time student with 30 credits, so I can't go down to 24. Sigh. It sucks. LOL. Plain and simple, sucks! So, all you readers, even if you are few, PLEASE pray :S As much work that is going to be needed to go into this, this is just an elective, I have 4 other courses that need my undivided attention as well!!!

Oh, the life of a student. Will I ever get used to it?

xo
Yours truly,
The forgetful Spanish student
