Six more days of work!

Well good evening dearest friends and family,

I hope your night has been filled with finding money in random places and no mosquito bites! Those are always the best nights! I can tell you right now, that in 2 weeks I've made a total of... dum de dum....$55.00 in tips! Heck yes, who knew being a housekeeper would be so rewarding? I guess men just don't like doing laundry themselves! Which is fine by me, in this game of saving money, every little bit counts I suppose. I mean, I really need money to contribute towards my massage and pedicure that I have booked for myself on my return to civilization...

So many things to write about. Where to begin. We officially got 10 hours a day! YAY! *insert happy dance here!* I did my first 10 hour shift today. It was actually alright! I worked 7-5:30. The other shift, which I will be alternating weekly with, is 9:30-8. Can you say brutal!? That sounds like the LONGEST day ever to me. I'm happy I have two weeks to mentally prepare myself for it :)

I think I will update you on people. There are new opinions and new people so we must keep you all informed!

News:

• Savanna did not return. I think more people were grateful than sad. Poor girl.
• Alpha keeps texting saying he is returning but who knows if that will happen. I have a feeling it MAY be for 'us' aka Jerome, Sheldon and me comma however, we aren't like we were the first three days of work. The boy has something coming for him. I've tried to kinda warn him? We'll see how that plays out.
• Jerome and me are sorta off, therefore he is off with the entire group. I think he feels old in the group, and since I'm not overly going out of my way to make him not feel that way, he just sits there and doesn't contribute to the conversation. It is super frustrating. We got into a religious argument the other night and ever since it's just been... off. I should make amends but I don't feel like being groped again if I do. Oh p.s: Mandy if you get a chance to read this (because I know this is what is on your mind while you are basking in the Hawaiian sun), Jerome MAY be coming over for like 6 hours on Wednesday unfortunately. Or Sheldon may just have to drop him off on 118th, and let him fend for himself. Muahahahaha
• Michelle and me worked together all last week. We actually had a lot of fun. Her and Sheldon have probably seen the most of 'me' since I've been here. I literally was singing everything the whole time we worked together. Super fun! I would say "Bath towel, bath mat, face cloth, hand towel, toilet paper, soap" in a song and then walk to my cart and get it. She found it very amusing. (Yes, this is literally how I spend my days ahahah) Also, apparently I say poop a lot? I'm working on that! ha! oh! p.s: This girl drives me nuts/ I find it hilarious. Every time we go into a bathroom she has to check herself out in the mirror. EVERY TIME! And then pick at her face. I can't stand it yet I think it's the funniest thing ever. Oh how I connect theories I've learned in psych to the people I've met. It's hard not to. Be scared. All of you. Beware....:)
• Megan and Ethan have a thing going on. Not sure all the details besides the fact that they are adorable together and me and Michelle love to tease them!
• Kim just got back from her turn around last night, so haven't seen much of her yet!
• Sheldon and me haven't really hung out in like a week. He gets grumpier by the day LOL, and needs his alone time. I don't blame him... it's boring here! LOL. We still love each other though. I've been asked now....6, 7, 8 times now or something if me and him are dating! One guy asked if we were sleeping together. We just laughed hysterically. Soo awkward. And we've established, we are like brother and sister. He's never had one so he thinks it means he can be mean to me sometimes in a teasing way. But I won't hear of it! :)

New people:

• Matt and Courtney, they are from Ontario also, like pretty much everyone else! Me and Courtney get along super well. She is really sweet. They are engaged. Matt is really moody, but he can be hilarious when he wants to. He likes me, but as for everyone else, he seems sorta....aloof. LOL. It's amusing to watch to see when he will be nice to everyone! I worked one afternoon with Courtney and we chatted it up. It was really nice. We officially are friends though NOW because well...facebook says so ;)
• Mike, he was the guy that Laura had met at her drug testing. She had texted that she met someone who was super nice etc... and anyways long story short, she facebook stalked him, showed me his picture, I saw him serving food in the kitchen, introduced myself. He added me to facebook a few days later, and we've hung out twice now! We seem to be getting along pretty well thus far! We went for a walk last night, it was nice to get fresh air. We both took pictures of the outdoor side of 'camp' life. It was funny! Oh! He just graduated from NAIT for culinary so it's been interesting seeing if I know his instructors or not. Who knows, we coulda passed each other in the hallways for all we know! eeerrrie! Oh! And apparently we are the latest gossip here! He told me tonight that the kitchen staff were all 'gearing him' as he put it, and my friends all tease me. Oh the drama of camp. It keeps things spicy I guess... gotta have some sort of entertainment! All in all, it's been going good. Its actually been nice to hang out with Mike, new face, new stories. He is supposed to be my NEW office Marathon buddy, but I dunno how well it will work. We'll see if we get out of the 'talk during the movie' stage or not! Plus he works till 9:30 now with the added hours (10 hour days) so that will make it interesting with me working at 7 (he works at 11a.m... LUCKY!)

I'm sorry for my lack of blogging. I really don't have an excuse, I'm on here every night, I guess I just haven't felt the typing bug! I know you must all be weeping at home every day when you check my blog and it still reads an old date. But don't you fret, this is new right? :) Six more work days people, six more work days! If I haven't made plans with you yet, please tell me. I feel like my 5 days at home are already chaotic, but I want to make sure to see as many of you as I can before I head back here!
