Day 2

Darling friends and family,

Hope you all had a good Remembrance Day. I think everyone got a holiday, and hopefully it was well spent and you all get the rest you needed!

Today has been a good day! I slept so well on the air mattress. Kyle's floor is heated so even though I only had a thin blanket, I was the perfect temperature! I woke up at like 11:30 a.m. I think? and got up and had breakfast with Kyle. I watched 'A Beautiful Mind' for the first time. Lonnnng movie! My psych prof last year recommended it. It definitely had a good twist. Sort of like the recent movie Shutter Island I thought. After the movie I got ready and had decided to walk to the grocery store. Kyle was studying/writing/ in general just doing school work. We needed a few things for dinner and I needed food to eat (definitely different food in the house when you are living with a diabetic vegetarian!). And he googled maped me directions and drew it out for me!

I opted out for the umbrella because it was only spitting outside, but I definitely should have brought it! By the time I got home I was literally dripping wet!! I didn't water proof my boots when I got them, so by the time I got home my feet were soaking! And I had water dripping from my hair, forehead, and eyelashes! It was nice though. It was about a 40 minute walk there and then 40 minutes back, so I was gone just over 2 hours. I then came home, and watched Hell's Kitchen that was on last night. I'm so obsessed with that show!!!! Kyle then made tacos (with fake beef! surprising really good...) and we ate dinner and watched some TV. I did the dishes and then we went to Starbucks and got coffee and now we are home again! It's really been a SUPER simple day, but I've enjoyed it so much.

As I was walking to the store, I literally felt like I had taken my first fully deep breath in such a long time. It was a weird realization. But it was exactly what I needed. My ipod touch had died and my mom's charger that she lent me (I forgot mine!) didn't work because it was for her ipod, not a touch. So, Kyle lent me his ipod! I was a little concerned his musical tastes wouldn't suffice but every song was perfect for the entire walk! The first song started with Abglanz by Pantha Du Prince. I'd never heard it before but it was lovely and set me in a super calming mood: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIn68Zoz2O8

Anyways, here are some pictures of my walk!

Ready to walk Surrey alone in the rain!

It's fall! The leaves were breath-taking!

I was very happy for the clarification.

The only dry spot in the whole 40 minute walk. However, this was 10 minutes from Kyle's house on the way home. ;)

Soaking!

Look what the rain did to my cereal box!!!!

Anyways folks, I'm off! Love you all dearly,

xoxo
