I had a dinner date with my dad tonight, I took him out as a thank you for paying for me to have braces! Instead of going to a movie, he asked if we could go to my sister's church to hear a group of no-longer child solders in their tour called Restore.
These children were from Uganda Africa. They sang songs, and danced and spoke of just some of their experiences. I have never seen anything like this before. These people were so wounded and I can't even imagine all that they went through and yet they have all forgiven their victors and are sharing their joy with others, along with spreading the realities of what they've faced.
I think I am going to be forever changed. So much is stirring up inside of me, my mind is racing with things of the future.
I am so blessed to have gone this this tonight. Something I didn't have planned nor would have gone to most likely if my dad hadn't asked. And I am so grateful I went. I feel like it wasn't a coincidence at all.
